It started with one install — and one problem.
When we got the request four years ago to do our first install for Govee permanent outdoor lights, we had no idea where it would lead — six figures a year in installs and over a million a year in tracks, coast to coast.
But there was one thing we knew right away: there's got to be a better way. We didn't like the exposed wires. That's not what anyone wants on their home.
So we went to work in the garage — testing tracks, comparing materials, hunting for something that would actually work for DIYers and installers. That's how we arrived at PermTrack.

Metal track
The distributor route. It needs tin snips, it's awkward and risky to cut on a ladder, and it fights you when you want a custom fit.
Rigid PVC — not plastic

Is PermTrack plastic?
No — it's rigid PVC. It's firm enough to hold your lights securely, but pliable enough to cut and shape on a ladder for a clean, custom fit.
Why not use a metal track like other systems?
Metal track needs tin snips, is harder and riskier to cut on a ladder, and gives you less flexibility to customize the run to the home. Rigid PVC is safer and easier to work with on the job.
